Fees and Costs

 
Our fees are designed to allow you to get the process started for no money down. They are as follows:
 
Chapter 7: We charge a total fee of $699 for a Chapter 7.  If you or a relative have a valid checking account, you can post date checks for the attorney's fee over 3 months.
 
Chapter 13: The attorney fee is warded by the court pursuant to the Chapter 13 guidelines. The fee is paid out as part of the Chapter 13 plan payment. You don not have to pay any attorney fees directly to us. 
 
Costs:
Filing fees: Chapter 13 filing fee is $281. Chapter 7 filing fee is $306. If you cannot afford to pay this up front we will file a petition with the court allowing you time to pay the filing fee out in installments.
 
Credit Counseling: Bankruptcy law requires you to do credit counseling before the case can be filed. The cost of this is between $25 to $35 depending on whether you do it on the internet or by phone. Either way it only takes a few minutes to complete. There is also a second course on financial responsibility that has to be done before your discharge. This course is offered free by the Chapter 13 trustees or can be done online or by phone in either Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 for a small cost.
